Diana Bezotte
Diana Bezotte has been a resident of Marquette for 10 ½ years. She moved north from Mayville, MI, which is in the thumb area downstate. She resides with her husband, Brian, and three children: Ashley (19), Dalton (13), and Logan (11). She works full-time as a legal assistant for a local law firm. Diana has been beading for about five years. She started after learning from a friend how to do spiral and peyote techniques. She would meet about once a week with some friends who knew how to bead. The greatest things about friends is their knowledge, and from that, she learned a few more things including bead crochet. She enjoys creating pieces that work mostly off pattern, such as embroidery and freeform beading. Her most favorite colors to work with are turquoise/aqua and pink, but because she makes pieces to sell, she most also step outside of her color box to please her customer’s desires. Diana’s has been teaching beading classes for about two years. Her patience and teaching style are learned from working with children with special needs. She also has a passionate desire to help people. Diana teaches a youth group at her church and is also the treasurer and an active member of the U.P. Bead Guild where she also mentors to blooming beaders. Other hobbies that Diana is interested in are sewing, oil painting, mosaics, fly tying, and photography. Since she has started beading, she doesn’t have much time for the others.
